If you've read the speech, you'd know ;P The vast majority of it was reminding the people that, somehow, all of the manslaughter, hatred, pain, and loss would pay off. In gradeschool, they only told you that Lincoln was a bearded man with a tall hat loved by everyone, when in reality, he was hated by most of America.
