Question

All faces of a cube with an eight-meter edge are painted red. If the cube is cut into smaller cubes with a two-meter edge, how many of the two-meter cubes have paint on exactly one face?

If I understand the problem correctly...
if you divide an 8m cube into 2 meter cubes, each face of the "larger cube" will have 4x4 or 16 small little faces...
so a cube has six sides...
6 x 16 = 96 little faces with paint on them :o)
