What are two types of oligarchies?

Okay so first off an oligarchy is a form of power structure in which power rest on a small group of people. Their usually controlled by a few families who pass down control down from generation to generation. Oligarchies are usually "rule by the wealthy", but this does not always apply. So what do you think an example of an oligarchy is?
