Why is the nature and nurture controversy so important to the study of psychology? @myininaya @thomaster @robtobey @tkhunny @Compassionate @uri @paki @e.mccormick @retrice @love_jessika15 @kirbykirby @Preetha

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

Hmm unfortunately I haven't studied too much about psychology.. so I will leave this to someone else.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Did you try asking in the psychology section or even Social Sciences?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I didn't know there was a psychology section :o thanks

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Two of them. They were for specific classes, which is why I also suggest Social Sciences, which includes Psycology as a sub set. Tag me when you ask in one of those and we can discuss nature vs. nurture.

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Personal Moral Agency 1) 100% Nature means we can do nothing other than what is pre-programmed. 2) 100% Nurture puts an awful lot of pressure on parents and society. Can we make choices or not? Are we just running on instinct?
