Quick question about finding out if parallel lines in similar shapes are parallel :) Please help!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just need help understanding what steps I need to take to find out if two lines are paralell in similar shapes. What steps do I need to do to solve? I found the slope between all of the points in each shape but I don't know what to do next.

@FibonacciChick666 Hi! Could you help me with this quick question? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do i just take the slopes and put them into the y = mx +b and compare?

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

if the lines have the same slope then they are parallel

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@cwrw238 I keep getting strange answers. Would you mind taking a look at the question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

anyone?... :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if the lines have the same slope they are parallel, if not, not.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes i get that but I have been given a question where it says to prove that they ARE parallel and the slopes I am getting are not matching. @satellite73
