anthony is designing a circular ice skating rink, he wants to build the rink so that 12 laps around the outside rail will equal a distance of 1 mile. to the nearest foot, what length should he use for the radius of the rink? (hint: 1 mile = 5280ft

OpenStudy (tylerd):

so the circumference times 12 = 1 mile

OpenStudy (tylerd):

circumference = 2 x pi x radius

OpenStudy (tylerd):

circumference therefore = 1/12 of a mile

OpenStudy (tylerd):

1/12 miles = 2 x pi x radius

OpenStudy (tylerd):

but the answer is in feet, so do similar steps to that but use feet
