Please just form two system of equations from the word problem below: At a coffee shop bagels cost $1.50 each and muffins cost $2.50 each. A customer bought twice as many bagels as muffins and spent a total of $16.50. How many of each did she buy?

OpenStudy (imstuck):

The first equation relates the number of muffins to bagels. If twice as many bagels were bought than muffins, 2m = b. That is the first equation in our system.

OpenStudy (imstuck):

If bagels cost 1.5 each and muffins cost 2.5 each, and the customer spent 16.5, then we deal with the money part of the system in another separate equation. 1.5b + 2.5m = 16.5

OpenStudy (triciaal):

b = bagel and m = muffin 1.50b + 2.50m = 16.50 b = 2m can you substitute for b and continue?

OpenStudy (imstuck):

solve them simultaneously to find b and m.
