discuss the continuity of the function g(x)=1/x^2-4 interval [-1,2]

myininaya (myininaya):

Can you tell me what number you have to worry about dividing by?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I tried solving the problem and came up with the limit of the function as x approaches C from the left is equal to -1/3 and from the right side I got 0 so I am hoping that I am figuring this stuff out because I wrote that the function g is not continuous on the open interval (-1,2) because the limit from the right is not equal to the limit from the left...if this isn't close to the answer then I am completely lost : /
