Someone Please help !! I will fan and medal!! Question 8. 8. You are paying $5 to get in the matinee plus $2 for each concession item you buy. You buy x items at the concessions. Write a mathematical expression for the amount of money you are spending at the movies. (Points : 1) 2x + 5 5x + 2 10x 7x Question 9. 9. The perimeter of a rectangle is the sum of all of its sides. Write a mathematical expression for the perimeter of a rectangle with a length of 4 and a width of w. Simplify the expression if possible. (Points : 1) 8 + 2w 4 + w

Tom is buying 3 pens for m dollars and 4 notebooks for n dollars. Write a mathematical expression for the amount he is spending. (Points : 1) 12(m + n) 7(m + n) 12mn 3m + 4n

OpenStudy (imstuck):

The $5 is what you pay no matter if you get concession or not. The thing that changes is what you pay for concession. So the equation would be y = 5 + 2x. The 5 is the $5 you pay to get in, and the 2 with the x is how much it costs for each item from the concession. The x represents the number of items you buy at $2.

OpenStudy (imstuck):

Do you see that?

OpenStudy (imstuck):

The perimeter of a rectangle is P = 2L + 2W. If they tell you that the length of 1 side is 4, then the total length is 4*2 which is 8. They tell you also that the width is W. If we don't know what W is, then it is just 2W. So the answer is P = 4 + 2W

OpenStudy (imstuck):

That was number 9.

OpenStudy (imstuck):

If Tom buys 3 pens that cost $m, then what he is spending on pens is 3m. If he buys 4 notebooks that cost $n, then what he is spending on notebooks is 4n. What he will spend altogether is 3m + 4n.

Thank you! What about the other one? @IMStuck

OpenStudy (imstuck):

I did all of them. What other one? I did the movie one, the rectangle one, and the pen and notebook one. I didn't miss anything, as far as I can tell!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

really? I don't see it i only see where u had answered only 2.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Never mind. Would you be able to do 4 more? @IMStuck

OpenStudy (imstuck):

What are they?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The volume of a rectangular box is equal to the length times the width times the height. Write an expression for the volume of a box with length 15 cm, width w cm, and height 10 cm. Be sure to simplify the expression. CAn you help with this one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please

OpenStudy (imstuck):

The expression is V = 15 * W * 10. Simplifying that would be V = 150W

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ithink this was in 5x + 2 @IMStuck

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This one is**

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2x+5, if each item in the concession is 2 dollars and you buy x items, then it would be 2x for every item you buy and plus 5 of the entrance

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so 2x + 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

indeed

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have another one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Simplify |dw:1409755743272:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

99 999 729

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are those the only answers?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nvm, the answer is 999

OpenStudy (anonymous):

simplify |dw:1409755892250:dw| Wouldn't it be 36 '
