I think That if you want something badly enough you go and do what ever it takes to get what you most desire if you really want and are really passionate about this then you should really go for it, i believe that if you love music and all that comes with it then you should deff move forward with it

About your covers I will say this, you do have a beautiful and unique voice, and if you also arrange the songs you cover, you have a talent for it as well.

When you have a talent you shouldn't worry so much about whether or not you should pursue it.  That will only fill your mind with doubts.  Instead, ask yourself if its something you want to do the rest of your life.  If you could actually see yourself doing it, and would you be happy with it?

Music also has many areas to it, its possible that you don't know whether or not you should follow it because you haven't figured out where you would belong in the music industry.  Figure out what you want to do -compose and arrange or perform, write or create, or both.  Do you want to be the artist, or do you want to be in the background, making the song, but not performing it?
