OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Have you considered a Slope-Intercept form? -6x + y < 3 ==> y < 6x + 3 6x + y < 3 ==> y < -6x + 3 6x - y < -3 ==> y > 6x + 3 Find the equation of the dotted line on the graph. y = 6x + 3 It has positive slope. Rule out the second one. Notice that the point (0,0) is NOT in the shaded region. Try them and see. y < 6x + 3 ==> 0 < 3 y > 6x + 3 ==> 0 > 3 Which one EXCLUDES (0,0)?
