Medal + Fan! The number line below represents which combined inequality?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x greater than or equal to -6 or x less than or greater to 5 x greater than or equal to -6 and x less than or greater to 5 x less than or greater to -6 and x greater than or equal to 5 x less than or greater to -6 or x greater than or equal to 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not sure whether to use "and" or "or"

OpenStudy (imstuck):

The number line represents "x is greater than or equal to -6 and less than or equal to 5". That's the answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (imstuck):

I think its the second choice, but you typed it a bit "off". you typed"...less than or greater to 5" which doesn't make sense at all.

OpenStudy (imstuck):

It's not A it's B

OpenStudy (imstuck):

You have to have the word "AND" in there, not "OR"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I copied and pasted it. These are the choices:

OpenStudy (imstuck):

"or" means that it is a disjunction, and this is a conjunction.

Thanks, I understand now :)
