four employees are cleaning out four different wishing wells at an amusement park. tracy collects $5.80 more than asuka. kyle collects half as much as tracy. Beverly collects 3 times as much as kyle. how much money does each employee collect if the total amount of money collected is $246.20?

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Name all the amounts: A = Asuka's Collection T = Tracy's Collection K = Kyle's Collection B = Beverly's Collection That was about half the problem solution. Now, you can translate the problem statement. "tracy collects $5.80 more than asuka" T = A + $5.80 "kyle collects half as much as tracy. " K = T/2 See how that works? You do the other two translations.
