Please help me, my last question. Lynn has a watering can that holds 16 cups of water, and she fills it half full. Then she waters her 15 plants so that each plant gets the same amount of water. How ,many cups of water will each plant get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so, the watering can hold 16 cups, and it is half full, that means you need to take 16, and divide by 2. whats the answer to that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

8 cups...I see I got so confused..Thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So each plant would get 8 cups of water then

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no. not quite. it says she took the 8 cups and watered each of her 15 plants so they each get the same amount. thats just math talk saying divide the 8 cups by 15 to get how much water each plant gets.

oh I see then

so, what did you get?
