How do light microscopes differ from electron microscopes?

A. Light microscopes can examine living specimens; electron microscopes cannot. B. Electron microscopes can examine living specimens; light microscopes cannot. C. Light microscopes can magnify a specimen up to 100,000 times; electron microscopes magnify up to 1500 times. D. Light microscopes can be used to study proteins; electron microscopes cannot.
I guess it'd be option A. Cathode rays tend to kill the living organisms lol.
Not to mention the specimen is invariably killed when preparing it for electron microscopy.
