Lincoln's plan for Reconstruction included pardons for Confederate soldiers who would take an oath of allegiance to the United States and the Constitution. For which of the following reasons did the Radical Republicans in Congress oppose this idea?
it was too harsh a punishment for the Confederate soldiers
it didn't include an oath of allegiance to the Congress
pardons were not a power the president had to give
it was to easy for Confederates to get a pardon

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):
I would say B...
It cant be A because there was no punishment....i mean they were pardoned lol.
i would say D or B at this point but not 100%
Presidents can give pardons so its not C.
try it and see im sorry if its wrong.
