I have a question that says decompose each number as a product of prime factors. a)48. How do I do this and can someone please explain this well!

OpenStudy (imstuck):

Decompose means to break down. If we are to decompose this into a product of prime numbers, that means we are to break it down into numbers that, when multiplied together, equal 48, and all the numbers have to be prime numbers.

but theres more than once answer for this is there not? @IMStuck

OpenStudy (imstuck):

6 * 8 = 48, but neither of these are prime so let's break them both down. In the end, prime numbers are prime numbers. They will all eventually break down into the same prime numbers.
