5 Write a sentence for each illustration, using the imperfect progressive and preterite forms of the verbs. Follow the model. Modelo Alberto / subir las escaleras / caerse Alberto estaba subiendo a las escaleras cuando se cayó.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@gelidium above is the illustration

OpenStudy (gelidium):

I saw it. Alberto estaba subiendo las escaleras cuando se cayo.

OpenStudy (gelidium):

Post you questions here.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so in the blank are they asking me to put that entire sentence, im confused

OpenStudy (gelidium):

You need to put the sentence in the blank, Alberto / subir las escaleras / caerse thi is the idea for the action in the illustration Alberto estaba subiendo a las escaleras cuando se cayó. This is the right sentence.

OpenStudy (gelidium):

Write the complete sentence in the blank. This is correct.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alberto / subir las escaleras / caerse Alberto estaba subiendo a las escaleras cuando se cayó. Juan Carlos / jugar al básquetbol / lastimarse

OpenStudy (gelidium):

Juan Carlos / jugar al basquetbol / lastimarse Juan Carlos estaba jugando basquetbol cuando se lastimo. Accents over o in lastimo, and over a in basquetbol.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what kind of accents ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ó & á or ò & à

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i figured it out!

OpenStudy (gelidium):

When you write you need to put accents in some words in Spanish. In this case you need to put accents over o in lastimo, and over a in basquetbol. I can't write the accents because the site is putting weird characters. I can't see that you write me last time clearly.

In the spaces provided, write the vocabulary expression that could replace the underlined words in each sentence without significantly changing the meaning of the sentence. Do not use any of the underlined words again. ¿Viste el artículo en el periódico sobre la actriz muy famosa que estuvo en un accidente de coche?

OpenStudy (gelidium):

Write me the underlined words to help you please.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

la actriz muy famosa < underlined

OpenStudy (gelidium):

¿Viste el artículo en el periódico sobre una artista reconocida que estuvo en un accidente de coche? la actriz muy famosa is the same una artista reconocida

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so in the blank what do i put?

OpenStudy (gelidium):

una artista reconocida

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thank you :) Read each definition and write the corresponding word or expression. una fruta grande y dulce, verde por fuera y roja o rosada por dentro

OpenStudy (gelidium):

It is watermelon. In Spanish is sandia, with accent over i. sandía.

OpenStudy (gelidium):

wait please.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay just let me know when ur ready! only 3 more

OpenStudy (gelidium):

ok write your questions now please.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Read each definition and write the corresponding word or expression. el opuesto (opposite) de seco

OpenStudy (gelidium):

humedois the opposite to seco. Humedo with accent over u.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you! I completely lost the answers and im able to get most all of them back from where i wrote them down except this one! Modelo Umberto nunca planea su viaje. Su mamá insiste en que Umberto planee mejor los viajes. Los muchachos no tienen sus tarjetas de embarque. El auxiliar insiste en que ellos _________ las tarjetas antes de abordar. could you remind me what the answer was?

OpenStudy (gelidium):

tengan

OpenStudy (gelidium):

El auxiliar insiste en que ellos TENGAN las tarjetas antes de abordar

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thank you! two more! Read each definition and write the corresponding word or expression. por dónde das una caminata

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@gelidium

OpenStudy (gelidium):

por donde das una caminata options. Adonde vas a caminar. Accent over o in adonde. Donde andas paseando. Accent over o in donde.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So im confused.. :/ in the blank what do i put?

OpenStudy (gelidium):

you can choose one of them. Both are right in this case. I think the first sentence would be fine for you.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I used the first one! A group of students is arriving from South America to spend three weeks in your community this summer. Write a few recommendations for them. Follow the model, paying close attention to the sentence structure and tenses used. Modelo recomendar / llevar Recomiendo que ellos lleven pantalones cortos porque hace mucho calor en el verano. es importante / recordar

OpenStudy (gelidium):

I don't see a blank in this case. i understand to change the vocabulary without change the meaning of the sentence isn't it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That is the model i guess and im supposed to write my own sentence? I dont know :/

OpenStudy (gelidium):

es importante / recordar Es importante que recuerden guardar su dinero en un lugar seguro. It is important that they remember to put away their money in a safe place.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you so much! so i would just write this correct Es importante que recuerden guardar su dinero en un lugar seguro.

OpenStudy (gelidium):

This sentence is fine for you. Well done.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you! Its over! That was my final test! thank you so so much for all your help!

OpenStudy (gelidium):

De nada @chaadams11. Good luck!!!
