Patti’s monthly pay is $3460.96. She usually uses of that amount to pay her household expenses, and of that amount to pay for tuition. She deposits the rest into her savings account. This month, Patti deposited twice the amount of money into her savings account than she normally deposits. How much did she deposit into her savings account this?
i am working on this one also. I calculated the household goods as 1297.86 by: (3460.96/1) x (3/8) and tuition as 865.24 by: (3460.96/1) x (1/4) THEN: add them together (2163.10) and subtract from her total pay, which gives me 1297.86. It asks to double the amount placed in her savings. We know that her savings was 1297.86. Doubled it would be 2595.72 SO>>>2595.72 I got it right on my assessment :)
I hope this helped.
thanks
