I loved this part of math... 5 cows 8 chickens Cows have 4 legs and 5*4=20 so 20 legs which leaves 16 legs over, and 4 heads which leave 8 heads over. since chickens have 2 legs, 16/2=8 so, there are 5 cows and 8 chickens.

5 cows and I'm positive. I got it right on my review test. :)
