I just need someone to read the following sentence and tell if it makes sense/needs corrections/what would work../etc, "An incident where I was assisting someone with learning how to do a TB test and the instructor reminded me why I originally wanted to be a teacher. "

Hmmm... is this part of a sentence? Because it almost seems like a sentence fragment.
Try something like," I remember an incident...." or "THere was an incident where..."

Basically add something to the sentence that helps keep it in past tense.
