What is one way scientific theories and scientific laws are similar and one way they are different

Scientific theories don't have solid evidence, like for example evolution. They say that a theory is true after 100 years, kinda feel against that but they are the "smart ones." Scientific laws on the other hand have a solid set of evidence, enough to be called proved. I guess they are similar in that they are traveling the same path, except the laws are further ahead in the race.
