When Mendel crossed true-breeding pea plants that have inflated pods (PP) with those that have constricted pods (pp), it was observed that F1 offspring had a genotype of Pp. What would their phenotype be?

OpenStudy (aaronq):

Which one of the alleles (P or p) is dominant?

Welcome to OpenStudy @pinkgiraffes.18 !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm guessing (PP) ? @aaronq and thanks @bookworm00981

No prob.

Try a Punnet square and just input the data.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I did but I don't understand it anymore i forgot all about the punnett square and I have to be in PLATO since i failed second semester in my freshman year.

http://www.biologycorner.com/bio2/genetics/notes_punnett.html This should help.

OpenStudy (aaronq):

So, if P is the dominant allele, then Pp should show the dominant phenotype since p is masked by P.
