What is 58,000,000,000 estimated as the product of a single digit and a power of 10? A. 5 x 10^9 B. 5 x 10^10 C. 6 x 10^9 D. 6 x 10^10

OpenStudy (midhun.madhu1987):

|dw:1409935945432:dw| count the number of decimal places moved?

OpenStudy (igreen):

I would say D. 6 * 10^10 = 60,000,000,000 which is approximately 58,000,000,000.

OpenStudy (mrnood):

it asks you for an ESTIMATE using a single digit @midhun.madhu1987 is once again misleading you

OpenStudy (igreen):

@iGreen I hope your answer is right

OpenStudy (midhun.madhu1987):

Apologies @laniah101 for the same...

OpenStudy (igreen):

I hope so too :P But it's the closest one. So it must be the correct answer.

OpenStudy (igreen):

On OpenStudy you give medals to answerers who have helped you.

OpenStudy (mrnood):

@Ianiah101 It is not good enough to HOPE that someone else's answer is correct. It is your responsibility to enter the answer which YOU have deduced is correct. CHECK what you have been told - if it doesn't seem right then maybe it isn't. I have seen MANY wrong answers given here - you cannot believe everything given to you here.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay @MrNood So what is the answer to you

OpenStudy (mrnood):

Can oyu understand why @iGreen has chosen D? do you think it is correct?
