The surface area of a typical classroom floor is closest to A) 100 m2 B) 1 cm2 C) 10 m2 D) 1 m2

OpenStudy (aaronq):

I would say C

OpenStudy (mrnood):

as an approximation you could assume the classroom is square so if its area was 1m^2 then it would be a classroom 1m wide by 1m long if it's area was 10m^2 then it would be sqrt(10)m long by sqrt(10)m wide do the same for the other 2 options ... which gives you a classroom which is about the size you are used to?

OpenStudy (mrnood):

btw C is not a good answer...
