OpenStudy (anonymous):

when would the velocity of a wave traveling in a medium change?

OpenStudy (arnavguddu):

v = f*lamba. So wavelength and frequency changes the speed of the wave. also, if the wave is through a medium, like a rope V = sqrt(tension * linear mass density). In that case, speed is also dependent on the tension applied to the medium and the linear mass density (kg/m) of the rope.

OpenStudy (radar):

velocity includes not only speed but direction, any time the direction changes velocity would also change.....right???
