A=1/2ap solve for p

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Area of a polygon is half of the perimeter times the apothem.\[\Large\rm A=\frac{1}{2}p a\]Solve for p?

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Maybe it'd be easier to write our 2 like this:\[\Large\rm A=\frac{p}{2}a\]So so isolate our p, we need to do the inverse of whatever is being applied to it currently. It's being multiplied by \(\Large\rm a\), yes? So let's divide each side by \(\Large\rm a\).\[\Large\rm \frac{A}{a}=\frac{p}{2}\]

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Our p is being `divided by 2`, so what do you think we should do?
