please can any one help me?? integration of (cot2x+tan3x)dx=????

hartnn (hartnn):

is it cot2x+tan3x or \(cot^2 x+tan^3x\) ?

hartnn (hartnn):

i think its \( cot^ 2x+tan^3x\) for cot^2 x , use the Pythagorean identity, for tan^3 x, split tan^3 into tan x (tan^2 x) and then use pythagorean identity for tan^2 x

hartnn (hartnn):

oh, is it just cot 2x + tan 3x ?? then you can directly use the results for integral of cot x and tan x then just divide by the co-efficients of x

hartnn (hartnn):

as we discussed in the chat, the integral will be (1/2) ln (sin 2x) -1/3 ln (cos 3x) +c If you're done, close this post and ask your new question in new post.
