One of the horizontal rope is clamped into a wall 7.62 m away and is moved up and down two times every second. There are three complete waves on the rope by the time the first disturbance reaches the clamped at the end. What is the velocity of the wave moving along the rope in m/s?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which one should i consider as the wavelength? and frequency? is it wavelength=7.62 / 3 ? frequency will be 2/s?

OpenStudy (aaronq):

yeah, thats right. If you multiply them, you'll get the velocity

so i got 5.08 m/s thanks :)
