10 points are marked on a straight line and 11 points are marked on another straight line. How many triangles can be constructed with vertices from among the above points?

This problem is from combinations, right?? @pathfinder_007

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes but i don't know how to start. i m stuck

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok we should know that to form a triangle we can select 2 points from first line and 1 point from second line or select one point from first and 2 points from second line... right??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes true )

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so this can be done in \[10C _{2} *11C _{1} +10C _{1}*11C _{2}\] calculate.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes i got it, thank u @aryandecoolest it's 1045
