Simplify the expression : 3x-2(2x-5) = 3x-4x+10 = -x + 10

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

You are correct.

Thats the question asked though, it just says Simplify. Not sure what can be done with it, never done anything with 2 equal signs.

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

The expression started as 3x - 2(2x - 5) By distributing the -2, you get 3x - 4x + 10 Then by combining like terms, you get -x + 10 It looks like it gave you a problem and all its steps.

Its the first one there, I see what you saying though.
