how would you solve 34x15=m ? please show work

OpenStudy (ahsome):

You would multiply 34 and 15 \(m=15*35\) \(m=525\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wouldn't you have to do the opposite of multiplying tho?

OpenStudy (ahsome):

No, since there are both on the same side. If you were to move either \(15\) or \(35\) to the other side, then you would. In this case, though, you just multiply the numbers together.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh thanks but for some reason when i multiple 34 and 15 i got 510

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it 510 or 525 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so every time their on the same side it does't matter the opposite way right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you sure 34 times 15 is 510?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes sorry it is 510

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how would i do 23x78=y?

OpenStudy (anonymous):
