what are five examples of osmosis and diffusion?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Diffusion is the moment of molecules from a place where they are in high concentration to where they are in low concentration. Osmosis is a particular type of diffusion; its the movement of water molecules. So, for diffusion you could say when you cook something, you can smell it throughout the house; this is because the particles have spread out. For osmosis you could say if a potato is left in water it swells up because the potato has little concentration of water (lots of starch) so some of the water molecules enter in the potato
