What are the different ways of interpreting the title of the short story "Was It a Dream?" In one to two paragraphs, explain your answer.

Specifically it's the word "dream".

Dream - A series of images, ideas, emotions, and sensations occurring involuntarily in the mind during certain stages of sleep. (As in "I had the craziest drem last night while sleeping)

or it can also be:

Dream - a strongly desired goal or purpose (As in "It's my dream to be a musician)

So it could be interpreted as:
Was it something I dreamed in my sleep?
or
Was it just a goal or aspiration?
