how and where did Christianity spread around the world? please help me!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Christianity started in Jerusalem. Through the apostles it made it through the Jewish nation. Paul preached the message of Christ to the Gentiles covering the Mediterranean and Asia Minor. Finally reaching Rome it was not accepted by the Roman government. They were murdered and fed to the lions in the Colosseum. This greatly hindered the spreading of the Christian faith. But emperor Constantine converted to Christianity, making the spread of Christianity much easier. As time went on the establishment of different churches made it even easier to spread. But Catholicism was the dominant belief. When the protestant reformation came, most of the Catholic dominated countries did not like it. When protestants suffered persecution from the Catholic church then they went to the one country that wasn't quite Catholic: England. From there they saw that England wasn't all that it was cracked up to be and left for America. That I know isn't everything, but it is how it came to America. Via Yahoo answers xD
