The answer I got is 2.25

7 = (1/x-2) + 3.
4 = (1/x-2).
then multiply both sides by (x-2/1) to get the x out of the denominator.
4*(x-2) = 1.
4x - 8 = 1.
4x = 9
x = (4/9) or 2.25.

this is pretty basic stuff..
