In the original problem 7.3 is positive, when Allen wrote it as commutative and additive inversion, he wrote it as a negative. That was one mistake. Another mistake was that since 3.7 is not negative, he does not need an extra set of parentheses for 7.3. instead of (−4.5 + (−7.3)) + (4.2 + 5.6) it should be (-4.5 + 7.3) + (4.2 + 5.6). Since he messed up with all that, the way he simplified his answer is wrong too.
