9p-2n+4p+2n= ???

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

it's like adding apples and oranges you can only add apples with apples and oranges with oranges 2 apples + 3 apples + 5 oranges - 4 oranges = 5 apples + 1 orange

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i still don't seem to understand.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

9p - 2n + 4p + 2n = 9p + 4p - 2n + 2n = 13p

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-2n + 2n = 0n = 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the answer is 0 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, -2n + 2n = 0n, so there are no n's left, only p's

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If I had 2 apples, and you had two strawberries..but I ate the two apples, only strawberries are left

OpenStudy (anonymous):
