Which statement about hail is correct? a. It is rain that falls through a layer of freezing air. b. It may freeze at high elevations many times before falling to the Earth. c. It forms in winter in low stratus clouds. d. It is a liquid form of precipitation Is it C?
Ermm..well, when you google the definition of 'hail' this is what you get : "pellets of frozen rain that fall in showers from cumulonimbus clouds." So...I was kinda thinking A or B. Idek if I'm correct though *~*
haha okay
I'd go with B because A: it falls from a layer of frozen air, not through. B: it starts out as droplets of slushy water, which clump together, freeze slightly, then freeze again. C: not only winter, and they fall from cumulonimbus, not stratus. D: this one is extremely obvious.
