y^2 simplified?

OpenStudy (dangerousjesse):

It's already simplified.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y*y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats what i thought but the equation is still asking for that i did 16+4y^2=4 4y^2= -12 y^2 = ? (simplify)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you write the original question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure A circle has the equation 4(x-2)^2 + 4y^2=4. Find the center (h,k) and radius r and graph the circle. Find the intercepts, if any of the graph.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok well that is a lot different then "simplify \(y^2\)"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

divide by 4 first
