how does a wolf get its energy from the sun?

OpenStudy (kaylaprincess):

A wolf gets its energy from consuming another animal that ate; let's say dandelions, which used photosynthesis to grow.

OpenStudy (idek-ok):

@kaylaprincess is indeed correct. If the wolf, for example, ate a rabbit. That rabbit is a herbivore, correct? The plants that rabbit eats gets absorbed by the wolf (only 10%). As you know, all plants go through photosynthesis… So the wolf is basically getting 10% of that 10% energy from the sun.
