What is 3.2 × 10−4 m/h in centimeters per second

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

first multiply by 1,000 to find speed in cms/ h then divide by 3600 to find cm/sec ( because there are 3600 secs in 1 hour)

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

3 . 2 * 10^-4 * 10^3 = 3.2 * 10^-1 cm/h

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

you can convert this to 0.32 if you like then divide by 3600 and convert the answer back to scientific form

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

my calculator gives the answer in scientific form anyway

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it a. 8.889*10^-6 cm/s or b. 8.889*10^-5 cm/s @cwrw238

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

its b
