In a right triangle, the acute angles measure x + 15 and 2x degrees. What is the measure of the smallest angle of the triangle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So in a triangle we know that all angles add up to 180, yes?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and in a right triangle on of the angles is 45

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so if we add up all the angles, they should sum to 180 45+(x+15)+2x=180

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can solve for x and then plug the x-value back into x+15 and 2x to see which is smaller
