What is 675,480 rounded to 4 sig figs? In a 15 mile race, a runner finished with a time of 2 hours, 1 minute and 17 seconds. What was the runners speed in miles per hour and what was the runners pace in minutes per mile?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The first one is 6.754x10^5.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yea i got that thanks

OpenStudy (aaronq):

^that's not right, you have to round up because the last digit you're omitting is an 8. 675,480 -> \(6.755*10^{5}\)

OpenStudy (aaronq):

For the second part, \(\sf speed=\dfrac{distance}{time}\) but first you gotta convert 2 hours, 1 minute and 17 seconds to hours only can you try that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know i already did it

OpenStudy (aaronq):

so you got the answers?
