A salmon swims upstream 95 meters towards the north, then turns around and swims back the way it came for 30 meters. 1. What distance did the fish travel? 125m 2. What was the fish's displacement? I said 65m, but I am not sure if that's right

You are correct.
am I correct? I subtract 95 from 30 @BioEpic
More like 30 from 95. It doesn't matter, but make sure that you put direction if the question asks for a vector. (This question doesn't). For displament, just take the absolute value.
