I'm not sure what this is asking or how to do it, can someone please help me out, it would mean alot !! (question posted below)
I will give medals !! <3 :)
Which is bike and truck?
I think the bike is the line since it said the bike is moving at a steady rate
thats what i thought to about the bike being the straight line? but idk this is what my teacher put on my assignment
It just wants you to read the graph. I would compare the bike and truck for each partition of the graph.
Like which one is covering more distance per time for each section of the graph.
@Bookworm14 Your intuition is doing you well. What's your next guess? @myininaya Let her try to figure this one out, she's obviously smart enough to work through this on her own with little help.
I agree @Kainui
ok im going to tell you all my theory about the answer and maybe you could give advice?
Okay, I think it could possibly be that the bike is traveling at a steady speed therefore it is always constant on how far and how long it has travelled, the truck is moving at different speeds and is therefore not constant ... On secs A-D the bike is moving steadily and not slowing down or changing direction.. On section A the truck is moving , but not getting very far away from the beginning of the road, On section B the truck begins to plateau as it does not move any further , on section c the truck starts moving again this time at a faster rate, on section D the truck begins to surpass the bike as it moves a greater distance faster @Kainui @myininaya @PeterPan what do yall think?
You're clearly not one who tells interesting stories :>
Where's your imagination? HAHA Use some spice... like uhh
They pass each other at around the beginning of section B
At which the truck begins to overtake the bike... (about time...)
You know what, let's not say section A, B or whatever... let's use the time
Say... "...after about eight seconds, the truck passes the bike and then overtakes it but then ________ after nine seconds" At nine seconds, the truck's position graph is pretty darn sharp... what do you think the truck did at that point? ^^
well it ould appear that the truck came to a screeching halt
That's the vivid imagination I was looking for (depending on how cool your teacher is, you could make up weird reasons as to why the truck stopped) And then... it starts again... very slowly picking up speed, aye?
yes that is true , and just for the record I have a very creative imagination :) IO have won awards for both my music, artwork, and short stories :)
And I'm... a not-so-fictional fictional character. So... the truck is still ahead of the bike... but the bike passes the truck in a jiffy after ten seconds... and the truck gets faster and finally overtakes the bike eventually after... well, some time. You pick it up from there haha
SO i'm going to out in my new revised edition of my math answer ok?
to out in? what language is this? D:
*put* not out lol
as long as you have the crucial details in (when the truck passed the bike, when the truck stopped, when the bike passed the truck, and when the truck finally left the bike) it should be fine :)
My wrist is messed up okay, I can barily type haha and okay thank you for your help, i will admit it was kinda offensive when you said " You're clearly not one who tells interesting stories :>"
Oh I'm sorry. Or am I? You know me ^^ You be the judge :D
Well you little "or am i" does make it seem that you are not appologetic soo that is my judghement lol
