Why did the British Monarchy's believe that they had a right to tax the colonies in order to help finance the French and Indian War?

A. The Monarcy believed that all people under their rule should pay regardless of the circumstances. B England's economy was suffering and they couldn't finance the war without taking money from the colonies. C. They believed that the colonies started the French and Indian war so therefore they should pay for it. D. England believed it was protecting the colonists from French and Indian threats and from the British point of view, colonists should help pay for it.
