I am currently in Spanish 2, our homework assignment was to use the word 'Ser' to write 7 sentences about ourselves plus a friend. Here is some information about My Friend and I: My name is Taylor. My friend's name is Nicole. I am smart. My friend is funny. We are both fun to be around. We are both 14 years old. We both play Soccer. I have brunette colored hair and hazel eyes. She has blonde hair. I am kind.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Mi llamo Taylor. Mi amiga se llama Nicole. Soy inteligente. Mi amiga es chistoso. Tenemos 14 anos. Jugamos soccer. Soy morena y tengo ojos avellanas. Ella es rubia. Soy simpatica. Not every sentence you gave can use a form of ser.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Me not mi amiga es chistosa with an a not an o because your talking about a female, that whole paragraph of sentences is wrong.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Mi nombre es Taylor soy inteligente y muy amable. Tengo color morena de pelo y ojos color avellana. El nombre de mi amiga es Nicole ella tiene el pelo rubio. Los dos tenemos 14 anos de edad. Los dos jugamos el deporte de fútbol . Mi amiga es divertida. Soy divertido al estar con ella.

So, I messed up with "chistoso/a" however the rest of it is quite correct- I lived in Barcelona for many years and speak Spanish fluently. What I wrote is just rather simple (and an exact translation of what she wrote- unlike yours) because that is what a teacher in a Spanish 2 class would expect- not something as fluid as the one above. And, no, I used "mi" correctly, I assure you.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol, no you didn't but if you say so... nice day :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh I see, the first one- You're right- "me llamo" instead of mi. I thought you were referring to "mi amiga". It was a typo. I guess you're so good you never make mistakes, eh? Have a fab day.

OpenStudy (gelidium):

@Mrsj and @Yeseniiaaa This is a better redaction. You can match the adjectives and articles with the gender. If they are girls in this paragraph you use las dos, not los dos. Es entretenido estar con ella is a better Spanish. Mi nombre es Taylor soy inteligente y muy amable. Tengo cabello oscuro y ojos color avellana. El nombre de mi amiga es Nicole ella tiene el pelo rubio. Las dos tenemos 14 anos de edad. Las dos jugamos fútbol . Mi amiga es divertida. Es entretenido estar con ella.

"Oscuro" is not generally used to describe physical features of a person.

OpenStudy (gelidium):

@Mrsj Moreno is a better adjective used for skin. You say piel morena always in Spanish. Oscuro is a better adjective used for eyes and hair. To say cabello moreno is not generally used. moreno, na. adj. Dicho de la piel: En la raza blanca, de color menos claro.
