Which statement about the histogram is NOT correct? The data is positively skewed. The median is in the 69 to 70 range. There are 15 players represented in the graph. The width of each interval is 2 inches
Well, what do you think and why?
I don't know, I'm having a hard time with this question for some reason.
OK, so, are there any you know are correct?
"The data is positively skewed." A skew is to have a long tail on one side or the other. That means those values are lower and go out more. So, this says "positively skewed" which means the positive side (right side) will go out long and low. Is that true or not?
That's false isn't that? Wouldn't it be negatively skewed?
No. |dw:1410383182640:dw| When it goes off to the right it is positive skew.
Negative skew is: |dw:1410383259388:dw|
