I'm stumped... Is the underlined word a predicate nominative or predicate adjective? The grass was tall near the abandoned factory. A. predicate adjective B. predicate nominative "Tall" is underlined

A

Thanks, i had no idea

OpenStudy (ashleyisakitty):

It is a predictive adjective because you can say "The grass was tall near the factory" or "The tall grass was near the factory." You will always know it is predictive adjective if the words can be switched. @LinxNeedsHelpPlease please remember Openstudy is platform to guide users, not give away answers.
